EXTENDED STAY IN AUSTRALIA
for the Japanese retirees
Your investment sought for such a lucrative opportunity of high growth.
New marketing niche will assure of excellent returns.
1. APPEAL
Would you please help and make my dream come true!! I need your support and participation!!
Over 35 years I have devoted my soul to economic development, enhancement of friendship
and exchange between Australia and Japan.
Worked for an Australian trading organization for 20 years and also 20years for the South
Australian Government as its chief representative in Japan to make utmost contributions to
the Australia Japan relations.
On the occassion of the new milleniumm I wish to devote myself as life work to providing
the matured in this country with a dream of living overseas for an extended period of their
second life, namely after retirement and to assist in realising their dreams.
This will be done with my long standing experiences and knowhow fully supported by such
an extensive network as meanwhile built up in both countries.
Japan is rushing into an aged society. A concern is growing up due to early retirements
resulting from the restruction excercise being carried out by organizations and corporations,
uncertainty about future aged pension and environment in this country. Aged people are also
called to be self-sufficient and dependent more as time goes. Under this sort of social climate
the aged people look for a better choice option for their second life.
Extensive hearings, communications with them and a series of test marketing previously
conducted strongly indicates an enormous marketability of the progam of extended stay overseas.
I am confident that this program will meet high demand as a new business opportunity in the
silver market and be developed into a very interesting business venture.
It is earnestly hoped that some serious interest will be shown by investors for financial
participations to promote this venture of high growth and excellent returns.
Those who show some initial interest please read the following chapters describing on the market
background, objectives, purpose, targets, action plan, budget, profit and loss projections.
2. MARKET BACKGROUND
Population is rapidly growing old in Japan. Poeple over 45 years of age already represent 50%
of the total population(125million) of which 10% falls into the age bracket of 65 years and over.
This will further be advanced into the stage where people over 65 years of age is projected to
represent 25% of the total by year 2015. Japan will be the most aged country in the world.
As a consequence, so called silver market is becoming enourmous and lucrative. It is worth
around 4 trillion yen, about 60 billion Australian dollars which excludes medical expenditures.
It is clear that this market will continue grow at a rapid rate.
The ongoing restructuring in the busisness world is resulting in earlier retirements and this is
causing their life plan to review and amend accordingly. They are somehow at a loss as to how
they should find out a most satisfactory life plan and to lead it independently. It is absolutely
natural that they wish to enjoy second life doing things they could not have done before or
did not do until up to the retirement.
It is however necessary for them to be guided and shown an ideal way and option to fulfil their
wish. This is where the program fits and meets market requirements.
3. OBJECTIVES
It is therefore my aim that under the present and future social climate a clear direction and ideal
option is provided and presented to the public in order to support the retired to realise their dream.
4. PURPOSE
As above mentioned internationalization is rapidly progressing in this country. The so-called
baby boomers are entering the ageing society. They are more accesive to overseas living and less
allergic to the English language, more independent and full of challenging spirits than the previous
generation. So to offer them Australian lifestyle and environment as an ideal place for their new
activity and living option for their second life is what this porgram is all about.
Why Australia is given due reasons from various aspects of living overseas which include climate,
safety, living costs, hospitality, foods, infrasturcture, medical facilities, furthermore, time difference,
interest rate, nationality, natural hazards, environment, living standard.
More precisely, Australia enjoys the mediteranean climate, beautiful in summer, mild in winter in the
souther part and is quite safe reasonably free from natural hazards. People are friendly and warmly
welcome visistors from overseas countries. Living costs are half of that in Japan and yet a
higher quality of life can be enjoyed.
An extended stay or a longer stay is purpose of this program not suggesting people should think
of migrating into Australia. It is the fundamental stance that poeple live a few months, or six months
out of a year away from home and enjoy an excellent lifestyle while meeting new chanllenges,
experiencing things which are difficult to be attained in Japan at affordable costs.
Those who are interested to migrate into Australia, however, will certainly be assisted through
the program to pursue such an option.
Furthermore, this project specificly aims at obtaining expertise, technology and know-how
that the targeted retirees have obviously acquired during their long time employment and
business activities for benefits of the Australian industry and community at gratis during
their stay in Australia.
5. TARGET
This program is targeted at middle and elder aged people of good health and spirits, salaried men
getting closer to retirement, current pension earners, self employed, small business enterpreners,
who represent the majoirty of the population. In particular targeted are those who have travelled
overseas, lived overseas for business and those who strongly desire to live overseas, together with
matured women who are influencial in decision making on what men wish to do.
In order to generate and obtain their interest and participation every possible promotional tool and
means will be used. Proacive approaches will be taken to promote the program through the media,
particularly electronics media, specialised magazines, newspapers, jounals. A specially prepared
motivational brochures will be produced and distributed. There will be seminars, briefings to be
organized and staged. Active inroads will be made into corporations, organizations, and their old
boys societies. Experience tours of a shorter period will be conducted at a regular and constant
basis among those who show initial interests. Furthermore a book will be written to promote the
program while a homepage is produced and put up onto a web site.
6. ACTION PLAN
